Wilma Elaine Titus
Elaine Titus, 79 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, January 9, 2020 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherryvale Cemetery in Southard, Oklahoma.

Wilma Elaine (Quisenberry) Titus was born on September 12, 1940 in Ventura, California to Elvis and Alma (Rash) Quisenberry. Elaine lived in San Francisco, California, Macks Creek, Missouri and then moved to Southard, Oklahoma in 1945. She attended school in Southard then was bused to Canton Public School from her sophomore year through graduation. After graduation she lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and worked as a secretary for AMC retail. She was united in marriage to Gene Titus on May 27, 1961 in Oklahoma City. They made their first home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma then moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma and after Gene's passing, Elaine moved to Woodward.

Elaine was a stay at home mom until her children were older. She then began work as an aerobics instructor. Later in life, Elaine returned to work in retail and also worked as a secretary for High Plains Tire.

Spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, grand nieces, brothers and sisters, her puppies and her grand dogs brought Elaine the most joy. She enjoyed boating and playing in the lakes around Woodward and Canton. She loved visiting her daughter in Clearwater Beach, Florida and cruising the beach on her scooter, sun tanning, shopping for bargains, and playing games (sometimes at the casino and loved playing Bingo in Woodward).

She gave her heart to the Lord and was baptized at Bible Baptist Church in Woodward, where she was a faithful member until she had to be on oxygen full time.

Elaine is survived by her daughters, Carla Stucky and husband Shaun of Delray Beach, Florida, Angela Kopplin and husband Paul of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Isobel Kopplin, Jessica Kopplin, and Caleb Kopplin all of Kansas City, Missouri; siblings, Evelyn Hussey of Santee, California, Della Hampton of San Diego, California, Jerry Quisenberry and wife Eloise of Claremore, Oklahoma, John Quisenberry and wife Connie of Watonga, Oklahoma, Darlene Conner and husband Dennis of Woodward, Oklahoma; her cousin and best friend Patty Kuykendall of Durant, Oklahoma; her yorkshire terrier, Max; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elvis and Alma Quisenberry; husband, Gene Titus; son, Jackie (Butch) Titus; niece, Tonya Quisenberry; nephew, Brian Quisenberry; and her miniature schnauzer, Holly Ann.

Memorials may be made to the Cherryvale Cemetery with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
