Teresa Leanna Noreuil Obituary

Teresa Leanne Harding-Noreuil was born November 17, 1954 to Robert "Bob" & JoAnna (Peard) Harding. She was warmly welcomed by her brother Jody Burton. They later warmly welcomed two sisters, Maria, then Darla. Teresa grew up in various places from coast to coast, and shared many interesting experiences from different places in the 60's. Her favorite place to live was Panama City, FL because she loved the beachy life. However, the Ranch where her grandparents lived near Vici, Oklahoma was always home.

It was after she became very sick with a disease that nearly took her life twice, that they moved back to Woodward. She attended and graduated from Woodward High School. It's here in Woodward that she met the love of her life, Donnie Gene Noreuil. They were united in marriage on December 21st, 1972. Two children were blessed to this union, son Edward and daughter Anna. Later she was also blessed with many days to help care for and raise a special niece, Jesse Westenhaver-Dirickson. A few other family members briefly moved into their home at various times, and were always welcome. Their home was always a welcoming and peaceful place of refuge to friends and family.

In the meantime, when they weren't remodeling houses, Teresa actively volunteered at the Gage, OK school in the Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) Program, regularly giving new, free books to the children. She also actively volunteered many hours helping organize several years of the Roadrunner Marathons held in Gage, OK.

After the kids were grown and she and Donnie moved back to Woodward, Teresa continued her active volunteer work at St. Peter's Church. She was Vice President and later President of the local St. Vincent De Paul Society for many years, helping countless people in Woodward who found themselves in a bind. She was also appointed by the Priest at the time, Fr. Boeckman, to the Sanctuary Remodeling Project for her and Donnie's expertise in that area. She was also chosen to be pinned as an Associate to the Sisters of St. Joseph in Kansas, who she very much enjoyed visiting when she could. Teresa was also a Church Sacristan, preparing for Masses up until recent years.

She was so proud that she was able to accomplish passing 30 college credit hours of Theology to get her Diploma in Pastoral Ministry in 2015. It was a difficult time in her life, but Teresa wouldn't give up.

Teresa was always so full of life, light, laughter and love. Her sheer strength and perseverance are also truly inspiring. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to nurses Kelsey and Becky, as well as Anna, Jesse, and Natasha for taking such good care of her in her last few months.
