Stone Alan Dunnihoo

Stone Alan Dunnihoo, 30, of Woodward, Oklahoma, passed away on June 14, 2025. He was born on November 1, 1994, at Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, Oklahoma.

Stone was a complicated soul — fierce, fiery, and not one to wear his heart on his sleeve. He lived with his guard up and didn't give away affection freely. But if you were one of the "littles," like his daughter, his step-children, or younger cousins, you saw a different side of him. He saved his softest moments for them, and those quiet times — usually when he thought no one was watching — said more than words ever could.

The best day of his life was July 31, 2020, the day his daughter Payton was born. From that moment on, she became his world and the one person who could melt his tough exterior with just a look.

Cars and motorcycles were more than a hobby; they were a passion. He spent countless hours working alongside his uncle David and close friend Josh Stanley, turning wrenches and building a bond only found under the hood or behind a throttle. Loud engines and late-night builds weren't just part of his routine — they were part of his soul.

He earned his GED and was proud of that accomplishment, even if he didn't talk much about it. That was Stone. He did what needed to be done, quietly and without asking for applause.

Stone is survived by his mother, Tara Dunnihoo; his daughter, Payton Dunnihoo, and her mother Kinsey Hennigh; Amanda Glennie and his step-children, Skylar, Ruben, and Charlize; his uncle David Sawyer, all of Woodward, Oklahoma; his maternal grandparents, Floyd A. and Idelma Dunnihoo; and his aunt, Tami Irvin of Shattuck, Oklahoma.

He is also lovingly remembered by his cousins Haley Elliot and her children of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Lindsey Irvin and her children of Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Stone leaves behind a multitude of friends and extended family, too numerous to name, who will deeply miss his presence, his grit, and his unspoken loyalty.

A private, intimate gathering will be held by the family to remember Stone in the way he would have wanted — low-key, close-knit, and surrounded by those who truly knew him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bank7 of Woodward in Payton Dunnihoo's name to help support her future education — something Stone would have wanted for his little girl.

Stone left us far too soon. But in his short time here, he lived fast, loved quietly, and left behind a legacy in the form of a daughter who will always know she was her daddy's whole world.
