Leona Evelyn Stump Obituary

Leona Evelyn Stump, 93, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Mountain Home. She was born on October 9, 1931, in Adel, Iowa to Robert Nile and Leona (Harmon) Stump. Leona loved to work with her hands and embroidered many needlepoint designs and scenes on canvas. She saw 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren born into her loving family, so she was always busy crocheting baby blankets for all of them. She enjoyed all types of card games and was always "cheating" to get the upper hand. Leona enjoyed music and singing. She loved Jesus and was a member of the Nazarene Church. Her family and friends will miss Leona very much.

She is survived by one daughter, Laura Kibbe of Mountain Home; one son, Kevin Stucker of Higgins, Texas; one sister, Mary Cook of Arizona, 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Leona Stump; four children, Sammy Stucker, Paula Geddes, Paul Stucker and Celestia Stucker and eight brothers and sisters.

The family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, 811 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653 instead of flowers.

Her remains will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony in Alaska. An online guestbook and obituary are available at www.connerfamilyfuneralhome.com.
