Kaufman - Kimberly Kay (Miller) Prudhomme was born on March 15, 1973, in Buffalo, Oklahoma, proudly arriving as the town's New Year's baby. She grew up in Buffalo and Woodward, surrounded by family, laughter, and the kind of love that shaped who she became.
Kim attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, where she brought joy and school spirit as the beloved Drover mascot. Always hardworking and determined, she held jobs from a young age - at a steakhouse, as the sports editor and photographer for her local newspaper, and even in a butcher shop while in college. Kim approached everything she did with creativity, drive, and heart.
In November 1995, Kim married Jay Prudhomme. Though their marriage came to an end, they remained the best of co-parents and continued to share immense love and pride in raising their sons, Jack and Jaden.
Kim had a heart for helping others and a passion for missions. She took several trips with her family to build homes in Mexico, as well as in other parts of Latin America and Africa. Her creativity shone brightly in everything she touched-whether she was shaping pottery, painting, or crafting something beautiful just because it made her happy.
To know Kim was to love her. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, seen, and comfortable. Her warmth, humor, and compassion filled every room she walked into. Kim made people laugh, listened deeply, and left everyone feeling a little lighter than before.
Kim died peacefully at her home in Kaufman, Texas, on October 30, 2025, surrounded by overwhelming love and admiration.
She is survived by her sons, Jack Prudhomme (Plano, TX) and Jaden Prudhomme (Melissa, TX); her former husband and lifelong friend, Jay Prudhomme (McKinney, TX); her parents, Christine and Joe Miller (Fairview, OK); her brother and sister-in-law, Justin and Susan Miller (Bentonville, AR); her
nieces, Eden and Brinley Miller; nephews, Sully, Aiden, and Brody Miller (Bentonville, AR); and her love, Tony Dunn {Kaufman, TX). She will also be deeply missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Our world here IS a little dimmer without Kim's bright smile and generous heart, but those who knew her can find peace knowing she's still doing what she always did best-helping, loving, and bringing light-just from a little farther away.
Memorial for Kim will be at First Christian Church, Buffalo at 2 PM November 29, 2025
