Shattuck, OK - Funeral Service for Iva Ann Barber will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2026

at the Church of God with Pastor Sheryl White, officiating with burial at 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026 at Shattuck Cemetery with Mark Hornbaker, officiating. Under the Direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Iva Ann Barber was born to Irving Allen and Ava Lee (Butler) Akers on September 29, 1944 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. She passed away in Shattuck with family around her on February 15, 2026 at the age of 81 years, 4 months, 7 days.

She graduated Follett High School in 1963. Iva went on to take come college courses in bookkeeping. Iva married Alvin Henry Barber on September 17, 1963 in Dumas, Texas. She loved to crocheting, fishing, and playing card games especially Uno and Skip Bo.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alvin; and brothers, George Akers, Robert Akers, and Eugene Akers, and an infant brother.

Iva is survived by her son, Clifford Barber and wife Robin of Shattuck; daughter, Sue Lynn Hornbaker and husband Dave of Hutchinson, Kansas; grandchildren, Jon Hornbaker, Shealynn Baker, and Micheal Atkinson and wife Melissa; great-grandchildren, Ashlee and Aubree Baker, Kailen, Teddy, Nolan, and Ember Atkinson; sisters, Lillie Burnidge and husband Roger of Alva and Luella Lee; and many other family and friends.
