Woodward, OK - Dwayne L. Roberts, 60 year old Woodward resident, left this earth on September 12, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2024 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with his nephew Derrick Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Dwayne Lee Roberts was born on December 15, 1963 in Dodge City, Kansas to Delbert and Gayla (Ralstin) Roberts. He was welcomed home by an older brother and sister, David and Cindy. He attended grade school in Mullinville, Kansas, before he and his family moved to Woodward in 1972. He then attended Highland Park grade school, Woodward Junior High and Woodward High School. Dwayne excelled at football throughout his school years. After graduation, he attended Panhandle State University for one year on a football Scholarship.

He married Susan Norton and to this union a son, Dustin Lee Roberts was born on June 12, 1983. Dustin passed away on June 13, 1983.

Dwayne later married Cheryl Cunningham and to this union a daughter, Brittany Lynn Roberts was born on July 5, 1996. He loved his daughter very much.

Dwayne worked in the oilfield and on the family farm for many years. He loved fishing and hunting, especially fishing. He also liked to wrestle and he was good at it. But most of all, he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Del Roberts and son Dustin Roberts.

He is survived by his daughter, Brittany Mayfield and partner Levi Mayfield; his grandchildren: Kendel and Max Mayfield; mother Gayla Roberts; step-mother, Betty Roberts; brother David Roberts and wife Tammy; sister Cindy Goetzinger and husband Gary; two nephews: Derrick Roberts and wife Ashley, Cory Goetzinger; great-niece Destiny Wasden and husband Kash; two great-nephews, Drake and Dax Roberts; other relatives and friends.
