Mutual, Ok - Dale Stidham, 80, of Sharon, Oklahoma, died on Monday, July 15, 2024, surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Sharon Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the North Persimmon Cemetery, east of Sharon. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Walter Dale Stidham was born on October 19, 1943 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Walter Carl and Ethel Mae (Hunnicutt) Stidham. He grew up in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School. He earned his Bachelors in Agronomy from Oklahoma State University and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho. Dale was inducted into the United States Army Reserves in 1961 and honorably served his country until being honorably discharged in 1969. He was united in marriage to Dianna Halley on May 11, 1968 at the Sharon Baptist Church in Sharon, Oklahoma. They made their first home in Sharon and lived in Waurika before moving to Mutual, Oklahoma.

Dale was the District Conservationist of Jefferson County before spending the rest of his life ranching. He loved helping his friends and neighbors by sharing his knowledge of grasses and hay. Dale also enjoyed snow skiing, snowmobiling and he loved watching his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Dianna Stidham of the home; two sons: Dan Stidham and his wife Danika of Enid, Oklahoma, Don Stidham and his wife, Miranda of Mooreland, Oklahoma; one brother, Neal Stidham and his wife Charlotte of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren: Jake Adair, Danae Stidham and Ally Stidham; special nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ethel Stidham, two brothers, Larry Stidham, Phil Stidham, and Nyle Stidham, who was reared like a brother.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Rocky Shaw for everything he has done to help Dale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sharon First Baptist Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
