Tuttle, Oklahoma - Billy Leonard, 92 year old Tuttle resident passed away, Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in Oklahoma City. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.
Billy Eli Leonard was born March 26th,1933 at Cherokee Oklahoma to Ziba Eli and Alma May (Hatfield) Leonard and Passed from this life on June 17, 2025. Bill was raised on his family farm in Alfalfa County Northwest of Jet, Oklahoma. Due to the death of his father in 1950 he took over the operation of the family farm until July 1953. He graduated from Jet High School in 1951 and on November 26,1952 he married his high school sweetheart Ila Mae Hutcheson and was drafted into the US Army in 1953 during the Korean War. Following the end of the war he was discharged in August 1955. To this union three children were born, Monty, Ken Ray and Denise. Bill went on to graduate from Okmulgee Technology in 1957 and worked for McCullough Tool, US Post Office and Farmed and Ranched SW of Woodward for many years before Retiring.
He is survived by two sons, Monty and wife Dewana of Ketchum, Oklahoma, Ken and wife Sharlene of Tuttle, Oklahoma and daughter Denise and husband Dwight Kline of Eufaula Oklahoma. Ten grandchildren, Brandon Leonard, Brandie Mix, Kandace Perryman and husband Jeremiah, Brett Leonard, Kolby Kline and wife Tanesa, Billie Barton and husband Jason, Kelsey Pence and Husband Justin, Hilda Freeland and husband Mark, Todd Tallant and wife Ashley and Mike Hapgood.
23 Great Grand children, 1 Great Great Grandchild. Sisters and Brothers In LOVE, Carol Buller and Cheryl George (Rick) and Don Layton with many extended family and friends.
Proceeded in eternal life by the love of his life Ila Mae Leonard, His Parents, His three sisters, Grandson Zac Craig, Great Grandson Cooper Craig, Sisters and Brothers in LOVE, Ester Marie, Lenora, Fae, Kay, Orville, Tom, Harlan and Charlie.
Bill and Mae were long time members of The First Methodist Church in Woodward.
In Lieu of Flowers contributions can be made to The First Methodist Church, with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
