Betty Elaine Elmore (Sudie) Obituary

Cookson, OK - Sudie passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Oklahoma City, after complications from a recent illness. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and wife who was loved by her many friends.


Sudie was an enthusiastic member of Blackgum Harvestime Church in Vian, Oklahoma, near her home at Lake Tenkiller. She loved cooking, hanging out with her church & craft friends, and shopping. In her heyday she loved the mountains, camping, and skiing.


She was a sweet woman.


A celebration of life service will be held at Blackgum Harvestime Church on Thursday August 28 at 11:00 AM. Instead of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ( https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html?sc_icid=home-btn-donate-now )


Sudie was preceded in death by her parents Bettie & Charles Lair, and sister Claudia Lair.


She is survived by her husband Ken Elmore, her brother Butch Lair, daughters Shellee Pearson Wells, and Michelle Brave, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
