Annie Mae Kornele
Annie Kornele, 85 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, August 19, 2019 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, August 23, 2019 in the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Shannon Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Anna Mae "Annie" Kornele was born on October 16, 1933 in Putnam, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Guy and Emma Joyce (Cain) Hawkins. Annie grew up in the Seiling and Taloga area where she attended school. Annie was united in marriage to M.E. "Buck" Kornele on October 16, 1965 in Woodward. They made their home on the family farm until 1970 when they moved to Woodward. Annie worked as a beautician for a short time, and the last thirty years she ran the Woodward Livestock Auction Café until 2010 when she retired.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word puzzles, and dancing. Annie was very active in the Woodward Moose Lodge, and could usually be found at the Moose when any event was happening.

Annie was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and nothing gave her greater joy than being with her family.

Annie is survived by her children, Debbie Davis and husband Bobby of Woodward; LaDona Fleharty of Yukon; Kelly Perkins of Gage; Connie Johnson and husband Johnny of Woodward; Kenny Kornele and wife Brenda of Buffalo; Kyle Kornele and wife Christi of Meno; Kevin Kornele of Woodward; grandchildren, Jeramie Johnson and wife Shianne; Jennifer Long and husband Willie; Brandon Kornele and wife Jennifer; Clint Fleharty and wife Samantha; Brandt Fleharty and wife Christina; Erick Perkins; Sharon Wilson and husband Brian; Kendra Estep and husband Derek; Kassy Urbanosky and husband Matt; Kelsey Kornele; Kenzi Perkins; Tucker Kornele; Maci Nevels; Kylee Bromlow; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; all her siblings; her close friends; grandson, Garret Nevels, and daughter-in-law, Karen Perkins.

Annie's family would like to thank the staff of Grace Living Center and Faith Hospice for their compassion and care during Annie's last days.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodward Moose Lodge with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
