"Pops" Wyman D. Potts, 76
Wyman D. Potts, 76 year old Mooreland resident died July 10th 2017 in the Woodward hospital.
Wyman Dean Potts was born December 26th 1940 in Woodward, to Wilbur and Velma Potts.
Wyman graduated from Woodward High School in 1958, after graduation he was inducted into the United States Army and served his country until being honorably discharged. After returning home from the Army Wyman was blessed with two sons Rodney D. and Toby. He worked many years for Oliver's Shoe Store in Woodward. He eventually joined the family business and branched out in construction and sales with his father Wilbur and brother Wesley.
Wyman was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a Moose member who loved spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed watching his Thunder Basketball games, playing cards, pitch and shooting pool. He especially loved his Mooreland Bearcats. Everyone knew him as Pops and he cherished the value of friendship and family. He never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on everyone.
He is survived by his two sons Toby Potts, Rodney D. Potts and wife Sue; his 5 grandchildren Ashley Hort, Alyson Carey & husband Kyle, Rodney T. Potts, Christina Clardy, Josh Potts and wife Sarah; 5 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wesley and grandson Aaron.
At his request no contributions are needed and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
