Williams Ernest (Rusty) Shirm, 70 years old, departed this life on September 15, 2016, around 8:00 P.M., at the Mooreland Heritage Manor, where he was a resident. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born on October 15, 1945, in Woodward Hospital. He was the youngest of seven children of William Ernest (Buck) Shirm and Edith Alma (Shuyler) Shirm. He was raised in the Kibby Community where he spent most of his early years. He lived his early life to the fullest, including tormenting his mother's geese and turkeys that she raised. He was always running off and his older sister would go get him.
He is survived by his sisters, Lora Garrett, Ernestine Gay, Rose Ella Day, Avis Ortega, and brother Jim Shirm and his wife, Catherine, all of Woodward, and many nieces and nephews, one in particular called Kay Kay.
Those preceding him in death were his parents, W.E.(Buck) Shirm and Edith Alma (Shuyler) Shirm, sister Barbara Shepard, and brothers-in-law Charles Garrett, Gerald Day and Roy Gay.
Memorial donations may be made to Faith Hospice with the funeral home accepting contributions.
