Thelma L. Eike, 85 year old Fargo resident, died Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the First Assembly of God Church in Woodward with the Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Thelma Lorah (Jahay) Eike was born March 13, 1930 in Mooreland, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Henry and Jennie Mae (Atkinson) Jahay. She attended Fargo schools and graduated from Fargo High School. Thelma furthered her education at Northwestern State College, obtaining a Masters Degree in Education and Psychology. On November 22, 1948, she was married to Wilbur Eike in Woodward and they made their home in Fargo. During her working career, she worked at Western State Hospital, Fargo schools, Seiling schools, W. S. Key Correctional Center and the Northwest Center for Behavioral Health. Thelma was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She also belonged to the Rebekah Lodge. She loved gardening, tending to farm animals and received her most enjoyment in life spending time with her family at home. She is survived by two sons, Merl Eike and wife JoAnn; Dale Eike and wife Dawn all of Fargo; five grandchildren, Carrie Roberts, Reo Logan, Jerod Eike, Nicole Gathers and Jo Eike; six great grandchildren, Haylee Hutchens, Austin Waggoner, Nathan Logan, Jryson Wales, Mason Eike and Lilly Gathers; numerous nieces and nephews.
