Taylor Ray Borth, 23 year old Woodward resident, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 as a result of an oilfield accident near Yukon. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church of Woodward with the Reverend Shannon Davis and the Reverend Jeff Ralston officiating. Interment will follow in the Fargo Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Taylor Ray Borth was born on February 16, 1993 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Rayln Dean and Sharla Renee (Wages) Borth Whipple. Taylor grew up in Woodward and attended Fargo Elementary School and later Woodward Public Schools. He worked for Titan Drilling, LLC and Phillips and Sons Trucking.
He was a very talented musician who loved playing the guitar and creating music. Taylor loved spending time with his friends, his family and his oil rig family. Taylor was always working out, staying fit and hanging with his family who meant the world to him.
He is survived by his parents, Rayln Dean Borth of Woodward; Sharla Whipple and husband Brad of Woodward; two brothers Jordan Dean Borth of Woodward and Braden Whipple of Woodward; two sisters, Shayln Renee Borth and Sierra Whipple of Woodward; paternal grandparents, Larry and Brenda Borth of Fargo; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Cherie Wages of Chelsea; step-grandmother, Linda Whipple of Woodward; numerous other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his Uncle Lonnie Brewer of Norman, his step-grandfather, Steve Whipple of Woodward and by his great friend, Norman Vanderslice.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Taylor Borth Scholarship Fund with the funeral home accepting the contributions on behalf of the family.
