Sue Ann "Sam" Bond, 64 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Tulsa. A memorial service to celebrate Sam's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the New Horizon United Methodist Church with Reverend Becky Pierson officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Sue Ann (Meggenberg) Bond was born on August 6, 1951 in Meade, Kansas to Lester and Betty (Gray) Meggenberg. Sam grew up in Meade and graduated from Meade High School. She was united in marriage to Donald Bond at the First United Methodist Church in Meade, Kansas on September 26, 1969. They made their home in Meade before moving to Woodward. Sam was a long time employee for the Woodward Public School system. She loved feeding the kids at school.
She was a member of the New Horizon United Methodist. She loved spending time with her children and her grandson Beau, who could do know wrong. Sam also enjoyed going to garage sales, shopping and being with her friends.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Heinson; one daughter Tia Dawn Cheves and husband Grant; one son Thomas Dane Bond; one brother Bill Beggenberg and wife Susan; one grandson Beau Cheves; other relatives and many friends.
Sam was preceded in death by her father, Tom Heinson and her husband Don in 1993.
