Robert Lee Kidd, Jr., 63 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his home in Woodward. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Robert Lee Kidd was born on March 2, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert Lee and Hazel Alberta (Cox) Kidd. Robert grew up in Perryton, Texas before moving to Woodward. He graduated from Woodward High School in 1973. He was united in marriage to Colene Lawson in 1973 and they made their home in Woodward. Robert worked for Dowell for a number of years before becoming a gas compressor mechanic. He had most recently worked as a Pumper for Jones Energy.
Robert loved riding his motorcycle, fishing, and telling stories. He loved being around people and always enjoyed being with his children and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his girlfriend Robin Fike of Woodward; one son, Robbie Kidd and wife Courtney of Woodward; one daughter Amy Roberts and husband Caleb of Woodward; one brother Jimmy Kidd, Sr. of Woodward; three sisters: Shirley Kidd of Woodward, Louise Kidd of Woodward, Kendra Westphalen and husband Matt of Edmond; four grandchildren: Brady and Karlee Kidd, and Zoey and Zayne Roberts; a very special neighbor and friend, Debbie Hodsden and husband Bill; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Diana Kidd.
