Ragenna's Story

Ragenna Lynn Bird Stephens, 59 year old Woodward resident, passed from earthly bonds into the presence of her Savior Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Ragenna Lynn Bird was born on October 28, 1957 in Snyder, Texas; she was the daughter of Thomas Martin Bird, Jr. and Helen Frances (Leonard) Bird. Ragenna grew up in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School in 1976.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Ragenna enjoyed reading, crocheting, and visiting with her family and friends. Her family meant the world to her and she loved them dearly. Ragenna had a sweet spirit and never met a stranger. She made sure to introduce her family to all her co-workers and fellow residents of Grace Living Center. She never forgot a persons name.

She is survived by her father, Tom Bird of Haskell, Texas; two sisters: Julie Marlatt and Steve Marlatt of Woodward, Alice Henderson and husband Richard of Jal, New Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Ragenna was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Bird, one brother Mike Bird, a nephew Stevie Marlatt, one niece Bridgett Bird McGhee and her step-mother Norma Bird.
