Pauline Coonfield, 70 year old resident of Woodward, died Friday, February 24, 2017 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with the Reverend Jason Dirks and the Reverend Gary Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Pauline Porter Coonfield was born June 6, 1946 in Woodward; she was the daughter of Johnnie Martin and Viola (Evans) Porter. Pauline grew up in Woodward, attended Woodward schools, graduating from Woodward High School in 1964. On June 26, 1964, she was married to Hugh Aubra Coonfield in the First Baptist Church in Woodward. The young couple made their home in Shattuck the first year of marriage before moving to Woodward. Pauline was a homemaker, taking care of her family and home. She also did babysitting and in later years residential house cleaning.
Pauline enjoyed camping with family and friends. She had a green thumb and a love for plants and flowers. Pauline had a servants heart and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was a charter member of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. She gave her life to the Lord and was baptized in October of 1962. She recommitted her life to the Lord on April 6, 1980 and has been a faithful servant in the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Hugh Coonfield of the home; one son Tracy Coonfield of Overland Park, Kansas; one daughter, Teresa Wales and husband Jeff of Woodward; one brother Eugene Porter and wife Janis of Edmond; one aunt, Wilma Grace Castor and husband Ernest of Woodward; three grandchildren, Kourtney Weese and husband Kory of Woodward; Jonathan Wales of Woodward; Haiden Coonfield of Lees Summit, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Kamber Brechlin and Jax Weese; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the memorial fund of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with the funeral home accepting the memorials.
