Nicole Renee'Burgess was born on December 27, 1977 to Keith and Freida (Hoffman) Burgess in Shattuck, Oklahoma. Nicole was a blonde haired full of life child that dreamed of Mickey Mouse from the first day she saw him. She attended Spearman Elementary and Spearman Junior High School. She graduated with honors as Salutatorian from Sharon Mutual High School, where she was a cheerleader, and a member of the Oklahoma and National Honor Society. As a big sister, she was very protective of her two little brothers, Dallas and Travis Ryan. She was so proud of them that when her precious little girl was born she was named Dallas Ryanne after her uncles. Nicole followed in her mother and father’s footsteps by attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma for two years. Nicole then began traveling the country taking an opportunity to work for many of our national parks and ski resorts. Nicole settled in the panhandle at Hooker with her mother at Hooker Public Schools. It was here that her desire to influence kids in the school system began to grow. Nicole married Steve Mayhew on December 27, 2003. To them, one daughter Dallas Ryanne was born. Nicole’s biggest success in love was being a mother to your daughter. The family enjoyed shopping family gatherings, vacations, and going together to the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball games. Nicole always had a family influence in everything she did. It brightened her day when Aunt Coco and Aunt Bacole got to spend time with her nieces and nephew. Nicole’s determination, honesty, and opinionated personality influenced everyone she came in touch with. Many memories were made with her for midnight conversations or late-night phone calls. Nicole returned to college at Panhandle State University to complete her teaching degree and begin touching the lives of many people in many communities. As a Goodwell Eagle, she worked with the students of BPA, yearbook, booster club, and she encouraged her students to excel and strive to be the best.
