Mollie's Story

Mollie Biesel, 90 year old former Fargo resident, died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Ten Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lawton, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 in the United Methodist Church of Fargo. Burial will follow in the Fargo Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Mollie (Fisher) Biesel was born on March 6, 1924 on the family farm north of Chattanooga, Oklahoma; she was the fourth child born to Fred Sr. and Sarah (Bierig) Fisher. Mollie graduated from the 8th grade at Hiawatha Country School, one mile west of the family home. She was united in marriage to Alex Biesel on December 26, 1942 in her parents home. They established their home near Fargo, Oklahoma, where they farmed, raised hereford cattle, chickens, and large gardens. In May of 1957, Mollie accepted Jesus as her Savior during a Southern Congregational Conference where her brother Fred brought Pastor Roger Clap to speak. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Alex, whom she called the “Love of her Life” in 1986, also by two brothers, George Fisher, Fred Fisher, two sisters, Elsie Lowery and Ruth Zitterkob, two brothers-in-law, Henry Biesel and Victor Biesel, one sister-in-law, Mary (Fischer) Biesel, and three nephews, Victor Aaron Biesel, Fred Krasser and Chester Fisher. She is survived by one brother, Adam Fisher of Indiahoma, two sisters, Martha Krasser of Chattanooga and Rachel Butenshoens of Frederick; nineteen nieces and nephews, many great nephews and nieces and numerous family and friends that loved her very much and who were by her side when she went home to be with her Lord. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul’s Congregational Church with the Billings Funeral Home, 1621 Downs Avenue, Woodward, OK. 73801 accepting the contributions on behalf of the family.
