Mary Ellen Bouquot, 80 year old long time Mooreland resident, died Friday, February 20, 2015 in the Woodward Regional Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mooreland with Reverend Joe Arledge, presiding. The Prayer Vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mooreland with Reverend Vincent Raminedu, presiding. Visitation will be held at the Billings Chapel in Mooreland on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Mary Ellen Bouquot was born on August 4, 1934 in Mooreland, Oklahoma to John and Frieda Marie (Gire) Bouquot. She was raised in Mooreland and graduated from Mooreland High School in 1953. She worked at Bogdahn Drug, Mooreland Heritage Manor Laundry and she later retired to help take care of her mother. Mary took pride in knowing she won the contest in the naming of the Mooreland Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She loved taking pictures, cross stitch, embroidery, latch hook, putting puzzles together and word find. She enjoyed family and friends, remembering family and friends with cards, and in her younger years having tea parties with her niece and nephews. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Mooreland. Survivors include one brother, John Bouquot, Mooreland; one sister, Frieda Louise Alig and husband James of Okarche; a niece Jamie Maass and husband Kevin; nephews, Mark Alig and wife Jacque, Ed Alig and wife Shelley, Dan Alig and wife Waynette all of Okarche; 14 great nieces and nephews, Jessica Lovins and husband Larry of Okarche, Shanda Alig of Oklahoma City, Chelsea Golbek and husband Mark of Kingfisher, Brittani Alig, Natalie Alig, Erin Alig, Lexy Alig, all of Okarche; Chris Alig and wife Johna of Kingfisher, Chandler Maass and wife Cristina, and Jared Alig all of Okarche; eight great-great nieces and nephews, Wyatt, Gunnar and Colt Lovins of Okarche, Cord Alig and Chloe Golbek of Kingfisher, Mason, Rylan and Greyson Alig of Kingfisher; a dear friend, Bull of Mooreland; other extended family and many special friends. She was preceded in death, her parents John and Frieda Bouquot and a brother James Edward Bouquot.
