Marva Lee Lack, 85 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, August 15, 2016 at her home in Woodward. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2016 in the Powell Cemetery in Hominy; Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Marva Lee (Miller) Lack was born September 3, 1930 in Ponca City, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Kenneth Alfred and Birdie Jane (Burton) Miller. She grew up in Illinois, Virginia and Oklahoma. On August 28, 1947, she was married to Vye Langdon Lack in Sulphur, Oklahoma. They made their home in Hominy, Oklahoma and their children were born there . Marva worked for T G & Y for many years and served as a Pink Lady at the Hospital and was Hospital Auxiliary Director.
She was a member of the Crown Heights Baptist Church. Marva was an avid quilter and she also loved to garden.
She is survived by two sons: David Lack of Woodward, Jerry Lack and wife Norma Lack of Ft. Worth, Texas; one daughter Cheri Moore of Woodward; seven grandchildren, Misty Lack, Ashly Lewis, Bryce Lack, Justin Moore and wife Nancy, Andy Moore and wife Libby, David Lack and wife Wendy; eight great grandchildren, Taylor Lewis, Sara Lewis, Mackenzie Moore, Ethan Moore, Teagan Lack, Vye Lack, Josie Lack, Alex Kadavy; two brothers; one sister.
