Mark Cosgrave, 56 year old Woodward resident, died Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Alliance Health Woodward. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jeff Ralston officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Mark Dennis Cosgrave was born on June 25, 1960 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Roy and Frances (Hardy) Cosgrave. Mark attended Fargo schools and graduated from Fargo High School in 1978. Mark worked in the oil field for 35 years. He was united in marriage to Greta Ames on September 20, 2013 in Cherokee, Oklahoma. They made their home in Woodward and have lived here since that time.
He was a member of the Fargo United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge and the Boy Scouts. Mark loved spending time with his friends, his cattle and especially his grandkids. He loved watching his Oakland Raiders.
He is survived by his wife Greta Cosgrave of the home; parents, Roy Cosgrave and wife Sue of Fargo, Frances Wayne of Dallas, Texas; sons: Clinton Cosgrave and wife Kellie of Woodward, Zack Benton of Mooreland; daughters: Lisa Cosgrave of Victoria, Texas, Reagan Benton of Woodward, Cali Ames of Woodward; brothers: Todd Wayne of Dallas, Texas, Jay Bogdahn of Fargo, Joey Bogdahn and wife Stephanie of Moline, Kansas; four grandchildren, Hunter Cosgrave, Macie Cosgrave, Katherine Wisdom, Sage Cosgrave; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ezra and Sadie Cosgrave and Harold and Loudine Hardy.
