Lula Maxine McDonald, born to Richard Clifford and Emma Eldora (Allen) Price, was born August 23, 1926 in Copperopolis, CA. She passed from this life on September 6, 2014 at the age of 88. Maxine attended grade school in Seneca, New Mexico and Sharon, OK. She graduated from Sharon High School and received a degree in Business from Draughns School in Wichita, TX. Maxine fell in love at the young age of 21 and married John Eldridge McDonald on January 9, 1948. They made their home in Sharon, OK and enjoyed 55 wonderful years together. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters, Connie, Sue and Carolyn, and one son Gary. John passed on April 15, 2003. Maxine remained in Sharon until 2013 when she moved to Pittsburg, KS. Maxine worked in bookkeeping for G.O. Williams Oil Company. She loved playing pitch, reading and watching sports. She was baptized and was a member of the South Persimmon Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Price and Emma Tower and husband John McDonald. She is survived by daughter’s, Connie Faurot and husband Dick of Tulsa, OK, Sue Williams and husband Rick of Pittsburg, KS, and Carolyn Sullivan and RD Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; son Gary McDonald and wife Debbie of Yukon, OK, brothers, Clyde and Bill; sister Mary Evelyn; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends. At the moment of passing, Maxine was surrounded by her children and several grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the Harry Hynes Hospice and Comfort Care Staff for there support during this time. Funeral services were held on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Sharon United Methodist Church, Sharon, Oklahoma with interment following at North Persimmon Cemetery, Sharon, Oklahoma. Shaw Funeral Home of Vici Chris Deviney, 59 year old Woodward resident, died Monday, September 8, 2014 in Oklahoma City. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday September 12, 2014 with Pastor Mike Deviney officiating in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Kenneth Chris Deviney was born on November 15, 1954 in Oildale, California to Charles Louis and Mary Frances (Dodd) Deviney. Chris was united in marriage to Sandy Kay Smith on October 23, 1971 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. To this union two children were born, Christopher and Katie. Chris worked with his father and brothers at Pulpwood, hauling lumber, before entering the oilfield in the late 1980's. Chris moved to Woodward in 1986 where he opened the Brownsville Station and Gators Recreation for kids. In 1990, Chris moved to Oklahoma City and begin his career in motel management. This career took him from Oklahoma City to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and later to New Jersey. While in New Jersey he met his partner Kris Trainer. In 2008 he and Kris returned to Woodward and they started K and K Taxi in Woodward. Chris is survived by one daughter, Katie Batteas and husband Martin; one son, Christopher Deviney all of Crestview, Florida; three grandchildren, Katelyn Batteas, Nick Batteas, and Rachael Batteas; his partner, Kristopher Trainer of Woodward; three sisters, Connie Byrn of Woodward; Judy Tindell and husband Allen of Sharon; Linda Mitchell and husband Lyn of Woodward; three bothers, Louie Deviney of Woodward; Charles Deviney and wife Jackie of Bethany; Jerry Deviney and wife Glenda of Woodward; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
