Lloyd (Terry) Willis Wharton Jr. April 27 1963- November 6 2014 Lloyd (Terry) Wharton Jr. went to be with the Lord on November 6th 2014. Terry grew up and graduated from Fort Supply. He worked at Western State Hospital for over 20 years. Terry married Janet in 1983. Terry had three children- Tia, Ethan, and Ginni. He moved to the Alva area in 2008. He was a member of the Fort Supply Baptist Church, and later attended the Bible Baptist Church in Alva. Terry’s favorite Bible verse was Joshua 24:15 Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” This was the way he lead his family. Terry loved God, his wife, his kids and Teenie, his church family and friends, the Fort Supply Bulldogs, the OSU and Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, and sharing God’s love with children and youth. Funny words to remember Terry by: “Suck Bean Gun Grabbers.” Terry was survived by Janet Wharton of Guthrie, daughters Tia and Ginni Wharton of Guthrie, son Ethan Wharton and fiancé Anita and 6 grandkids of Alva, sister- Amber Brunson and husband Alan of Fort Supply, numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends, and his beloved dog Teenie. Terry was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Mildred Wharton, sister Phyllis McLaughlin, and nephew Dain. We will celebrate of Terry’s life this Saturday, November 8th at 1p.m. at the Fort Supply Baptist Church, and another celebration of life will be held at the Bible Baptist Church in Alva- date pending. He will always be loved and remembered as a loving father, husband, brother, “big papa”, uncle, and friend.
