Jeffrey's Story

Jeffrey "Shawn" Rogers (Gilbreath) was born March 5, 1964 in Laverne, OK to Harry Hap Rogers and Norma Jean Cobb-Rogers. . He passed away on February 21, 2017 in Geary, OK. He married Christine Bower in Hinton, OK on May 21, 1983. Shawn enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing, hunting, and caring for the farm animals, of these, his favorite was the adventures of travel. He often relived the excitement of Alaskan Adventures and tromping the deep snow of Vermont. While he said the most beautiful place was Alaska. He dreamed of a Vermont Retirement, however, he cherished the privacy of his farm in Geary, OK, where he took pride in creating a lush, green garden each year. Shawn spent his last day doing what he enjoyed most...preparing the spring garden with the company of his faithful dog Max

Survivors Include: his wife, Christine Gilbreath of Geary, OK, two sons; Christopher Gilbreath of Geary, OK, Tori Shane Gilbreath and wife Keri of Claremore, OK, two grandchildren; Kristen Gilbreath of Hinton, OK and Kyle Gilbreath of Claremore, OK, his mother, Norma Jean Gilbreath of El Reno, OK, one brother, Wally Gilbreath of Yukon, OK, and his faithful dog - Max, as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his fathers; Harry Hap Rogers, Sidney Gilbreath and one brother, Harry "Hippy" Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to OMRF C/O Heart Disease, 825 NE 13th, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
