Jeffery Wayne "Jeff" Converse, 47 year old partner in The Lawnmower Shop and Owner and Operator of Northwest Fishin' Trips and Tackle, died at his farmhouse west of Mutual on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Visitation will be held at the Billings Funeral Home on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Per Jeff's request no other services will be held.
Jeffery Wayne Converse was born on July 7, 1969 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Wayne and Nina Converse. Jeff grew up in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School with the class of 1987. Jeff attended college at Northwestern, where he studied Biology and Chemistry, the University of Missouri, where he studied Fisheries and Wildlife and the University of Alabama, where he studied Aquatic Ecology. While living in Alabama, Jeff worked as a Trader on the Chicago Mercantile and Exchange.
In 2003, Jeff started the Lawnmower Shop in Woodward and he later started the Northwest Fishin' Trips and Tackle in Canton. Fishing was the love of his life and he loved taking people fishing. He always enjoyed fishing, whether it be at Ft. Supply or Canton.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Jeff was the President of the Canton Lake Association. He was the kindest person you would ever meet and he was always willing to help in any way. One of the favorite times of his life was going to Alaska and Hawaii. The last couple of months have been the happiest of Jeff's life because he had found his soul mate, Kim.
He is survived by his mom, Nina Campbell and his step-father Wayne; one sister Jennifer Stong and husband Donald; three nephews, Cade Stong, Cody Stong, and Kyle Stong; the Love of his life, Kim Nault; other relatives and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Wayne Converse and his nephew, Cameron Stong.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials may be given in honor of Jeff to the charity of your choice.
