Guy Gaskill, 57, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. As per Guy's wishes, there will be a Mass at the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Woodward on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Guy Alan Gaskill was born on July 25, 1959 in Alva, Oklahoma to Robert and Josephine Gaskill. Guy was raised in Waynoka and graduated from Waynoka High School. On August 10, 1979, he married the love of his life, Rebecca Lynne Betzen at Sacred Heart Church in Alva, Oklahoma. They started their life together in Quinlan while he worked in the oilfield. Later they moved to Sharon with their three beautiful daughters where he continued to work in the oilfield and farmed and ranched.
His girls and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He enjoyed to cook his famous spaghetti for them and their friends. Guy was a handyman who loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed raising black angus cattle and horses. He was a member of the St. Peter's Catholic Church, and the Moose Lodge of Woodward and the Sharon Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Beckie; three daughters, Tori Miller, Tessa Wickware and Tawni Gaskill; four grandchildren, Toby and Annika Miller, and Beau and Noah Wickware; two brothers Rob and Bart Gaskill; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
