Edgar's Story

Edgar Allen Crigler was born March 10, 1939 in Buffalo, OK. His parents were Allen Alfred and Ella Agnes Meliza Crigler. Eddie left for Heaven on December 17, 2014. Eddie graduated high school in Laverne, Ok in 1957. He worked for various men during wheat harvests for several years as well as helping his uncles on their farms. Eddie also drove water trucks at different times during his adult life for a couple of different companys in Laverne. He drove trucks for Koch Oil Company and was also a pipeline gauger for them in the New Orleans area for over 9 years. Eddie moved his family back to Laverne in 1977 and drove trucks and eventually was a truck pusher. He retired at 62 and soon realized he needed something to do so he started a truck escort business that he enjoyed doing for close to 10 years, only stopping when cancer took over his life. Eddie and Janet Kay Timmons were married July 13, 1963. God blessed them with Faron Don January 25, 1966 and with Caryn Kay July 25, 1973. Eddie loved his babies and was a wonderful daddy. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, his little sister Anna Brown and all of his aunts and uncles and many cousins. He leaves to miss him forever his wife, Janet, son Don & Debbie Crigler, Shayla, Kaiden, Taiya & Ashlyn and daughter Caryn & Kevin Ruff and his grandchildren, Kameron, Kylan & Carli. His brother Lyle & Pauline Crigler, brothers-in-law Chuck & Mary Timmons and Rob Timmons & Yvonne. Nephews & nieces, Shawn & Kimberley Cobb & children, Kendell Brown and niece Shelly & Simon Thompson & children, Bonnie & Craig Augustine & children, Charlie & Erika Timmons & children, Marcia & Jeff Lindsey & children and Leslie Timmons and son. Memorial services were held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Laverne Methodist Fellowship Hall. Arrangements were entrusted to the Myatt-Laverne Funeral Home.
