Donny Troutner, 61 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday November 29, 2016 in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Donald Wayne "Donny" Troutner was born on January 3, 1955 in Indio, California to Lyman Lee Troutner and Minnie Lee Peyton. Donny spent his childhood in Indio and attended school there. Early in life he moved to Woodward, where he began working for the BJ McCollouagh Company. Donny was united in marriage to Theresa Ann Smith on October 2, 1978 in Canadian, Texas. They made their home in Woodward and have lived there since that time. Donny began working for Smitty's Welding in 1979, retiring in 2014 for health reasons.
He loved his family and friends, he was always the one to bring a smile to their face either by singing an old country song or just acting funny.
Donny enjoyed fishing, collecting old coins, and radios, he especially liked antique hot rods. He always dreamed of one day owing a candy apple red 1955 Chevy.
Donny is survived by his wife Theresa of the home; two daughters, Misty Thomazin and husband Zach of Shattuck; Kathy Hodgman of Titusville, Florida; two sons, Donny Troutner of Woodward; Gary Troutner of Pampa, Texas; ten grandchildren, Preston and Andrew Thomazin; Zane and Gentry Troutner; Jace Toutner; Kayten Troutner; David, Crissy, Katelyn and Miranda Mundhenk; two sister, Linda Phelps and husband Don of Salina, Kansas; Nancy Hensley of Woodland, California; three sisters-in-law, Lynette Bell; Diane Smith both of Woodward; Brenda Salas and husband John of Huntington Beach, California; mother-in-law, Elsie Smith; Charles Smith and wife Lois all of Woodward; two brothers-in-law, Mike Smith and wife Kim of Woodward; Steve Smith of Buena Park, California; two cousins, Jack Shriver and wife Janice of Sharon; Gayle Bivert and husband Ted of California; close family friend Rusty Jackson; other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Mike Bell, Sr.; Shannon Troutner; two sisters, Kathy Brandenburgh; Helen Troutner; niece, Barbie Simms; and sister-in-law, Debbie Smith.
