Cindy Testerman, 59 year old Mooreland resident, died Monday, February 9, 2015 in Enid. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel in Woodward with the Reverend Mary Davis officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Billings Funeral Home in Woodward on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Cynthia Ann (Ferry) Testerman was born on February 11, 1955 in Sedan, Kansas to Allen and Vera (Crowell) Ferry. She spent most of her childhood between Howard, Kansas and Mooreland, Oklahoma. Cindy graduated from high school in 1973 in Howard, Kansas. She attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and later she received her Master’s in Adolescent Psychology. She worked for Western State Psychiatric Hospital in Ft. Supply and the Outpatient Center in Woodward until her retirement. Cindy had a bright and colorful personality and she loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She loved animals and rescued and saved a lot of animals in need. Her home was never without a dog or cat or two and she loved her granddogs like they were her own. She would always tell her children, “if you see an animal in need, help it.” And she would often pull over so we could move turtles off the road, but it had to be the direction of the turtle was going. Cindy fought a long hard battle and she did it all so she could be there for her children and grandchildren. She was an inspiration to many. She fought so much in life, but she is now a beautiful, colorful butterfly and flying free. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Joseph. She is survived by her children Brett Testerman and Merissa of Dallas, Texas; Brooke Testerman and Jody of Victoria, Texas; Casey and Karina Testerman of Arlington, Texas; Dusty and Chelsea Testerman of Mooreland; her beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Preston, Laney, Mikayla, Emma and Ryan; also her brother Chuck and Tyra Ferry of Wichita, Kansas and many other family and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. Memorials may be made to the favorite animal charity of your choice in honor of Cindy. Please feel free to wear the brightest color you have to honor our Mom.
