Carolyn's Story

Carolyn Wilhite, 65 year old Woodward resident, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in Woodward. A private family service will be held at a later date. Carolyn Faye (May) Wilhite was born March 31, 1950 in Kirksville, Missouri; she was the daughter of Charles Carroll and Nora Faye (VanSickle) May. Carolyn spent her childhood in Hurdland, Missouri. She graduated from Knox County High School with the class of 1968. She was united in marriage to Richard Allen Wilhite on October 10, 1971 in Beashear, Missouri. The couple made their home in Claycomo, Missouri. They lived for a short time in St. Joseph, Missouri before moving to Woodward in the mid 1970's. Carolyn began working for TG&Y in 1978, working there until 1985. Carolyn then enrolled in Northwestern Oklahoma State University, earning her Bachelors Degree in 1988. She then began working at O.A.R.C., where she was currently employed. Carolyn enjoyed puzzles, oldies music, interior decorating, working in her yard and trips to Arkansas. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family, spending time with her children, and grandchildren. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Rick Wilhite of the home; one daughter, Lori Juttner and husband Gene of Woodward; one son, Brian Wilhite and wife Amber of Cherokee, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Alyssa Johnson and husband Matt; Aaron Juttner; Brianna Wilhite; Bridget Wilhite; Braxton Wilhite; one sister, Carroll Leann Boxerman, D.O.; other family and many friends.
