Carol B. (Cook) Burns, 74, passed on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 23, 1940 to Clyde Cook and Wilma Fuqua in Seiling, OK. Carol was raised on the family farm west of Seiling. There she met the love of her life, Norman Burns, and the couple were married on November 5, 1957. Carol and Norman were married for 57 years, and raised four children in Woodward county: Debbie, Berney, Diana (Katy), and Buddy. Carol was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family. She could often be found outdoors, and especially loved working in her garden. In addition to her grandparents William and Ethyl Bryant and Port and Stella Cook, and parents, Clyde Cook and Wilma Fuqua, Carol was preceded in death by her brother Leland Cook. She is survived by her husband of the home, Norman Burns; four children, Debbie Bryant of Phoenix, AZ, Diana Mabrey of Woodward, OK, Berney Burns of Oklahoma City, and Buddy Burns and wife Annette of Sharon, OK; sister Shirley Ritterhouse and husband Keith of Parker, CO; brother Donnie Cook and wife Jennete of Denison, TX, five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as a host of other neices, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Redinger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Brumfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
