Bennie Moore, 64 year old Woodward resident died Sunday, July 24, 2016 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in the First Assembly of God Church with Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in Prairieview Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Bennie Joe Moore was born on October 23, 1951 in Woodward, Oklahoma the son of Wesley and Patricia (Benjamin) Moore. Bennie lived on the family farm south of Woodward. He attended Woodward schools and graduated from Woodward High School with the class of 1970. While in school Bennie played baseball and basketball. After high school he worked in the oilfield, and for the United States Postoffice before he started farming full time. Bennie worked his farm and raised cattle for most of his working life. Recently he worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
Bennie was a sports enthusiast, he looked forward to attending his kids sporting events. Bennie was there biggest fan.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Bennie was always willing give a hand where needed at the church.
Bennie is survived by two daughters, Lauren Moore and Sydney Moore both of the home; two sons, Justin Moore and wife Nancy of Tulsa; Andy Moore and wife Libby and step-son Alez of Vici; two grandchildren, Mackenzie Moore and Ethan Moore; parents, Wesley and Pat Moore of Woodward; four brothers, David Moore and wife Jeanine; Tim Moore; Jim Moore and wife Renee; and Mark Moore and wife Lil all of Woodward; several nieces, nephews other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Kerry Moore.
