Archie Dean Webb, 75, of Woodward was born on May 4, 1940 and left this earth on April 14, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. Memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Woodward on Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Billy Morgan officiating, burial will follow at Addington Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Thursday at the funeral home.
After graduating from Addington High School, he joined the Army where he served for four years. He worked as a truck driver for Lane's Transfer in Woodward for ten years, before moving to Duncan in 1980. He held various other jobs through the years. Archie was a deacon at Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan for several years before moving back to Woodward in 1995. He loved fishing, and junk collecting.
Archie was preceded in death by his son; David Webb; parents, Doyle and Ina (Mull) Webb; sister, Betty (Webb) McManus; brothers, "Buddy" Webb, Doyle Webb, Jr, and "JT" Webb; and grandson, John Webb, Jr..
Archie is survived by his wife, Vesta Webb of the home; sister, Hilda (Webb) Epple, Brazil, Indiana; brother, Phil Webb and wife Earlean, Addington, Ok; children, John Webb & wife Jodi, Myerstown, PA, Philip Webb, Calhoun, LA, and Donna (Webb) Duyne and husband Rob, Duncan, OK. Grandchildren: Jacob, Jeremy, and Jennifer Webb; Austin and Jesse Webb; David Myhand and wife Dominique; Ashley Myhand and boyfriend Aaron Oden, and Sierra Myhand; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Dusty Myhand, and Johnathan Oden; and numerous loving in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
