Alvis Eugene Laverty 61 year's old passed away from his life Thursday February 16, 2016, in Woodward. Burial service will be at Elmwood Cemetery Saturday, February 25th at 11:00 a.m.

Alvis Eugene Laverty was born to Dayton Ford Laverty and Frances Mae (Alexander) Laverty in Woodward, Oklahoma. He was married to Rhonda Sue (Taylor) Laverty on August 2, 1997, in Woodward, Oklahoma. He worked for the City of Woodward and Coca Cola Plant and the Band of Brothers Recycle Center. He is survived by; wife of the home and his father-in-law Jerry O. Taylor, one brother-in-law, Jerry C. Taylor, one brother, Larry Laverty and his wife Hazel Laverty of Fargo, four sisters, Sally Bestbaster of Witchita, Kansas, Lily Long of Georgia and Betty Davis of Woodward, Karen Alger and Donald Alger of Woodward.

He is preceded in death by both parents and grandparents, two brothers, Calvin Laverty and Charles Loucks of Woodward, two (twin) sisters, Frances and Dara Loucks. He loved to work on lawn mowers and listen to music and help anybody that needed it.
