Vicky Q. Probst, 89 year old former Woodward resident died Sunday, December 25, 2016 in Norman, Oklahoma. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, December 31, 2016 in St. Peters Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Veronica Quichocho "Vicky" Probst was born December 2, 1927 in Yona, Guam. She was the daughter of Trinidad Indalecio Quichocho. She spent her early years on the island of Guam in Yona Village and attended school in Guam. Vicky married Barney Probst in Yona, Guam and they made their home there. She also lived in California before moving to Woodward. Vicky was a nurse her whole life and retired from the Woodward Regional Hospital now Alliance Health Medical Group.
Vicky enjoyed spending time with her family especially her kids and grandkids. She loved cooking, bingo and enjoyed singing most of all. Vicky also liked her OU Sooners.
She is survived by three sons, Dan Probst; Patrick Probst and wife Amy; John Probst; three daughters, Fran Stecklein; Ronnie Frame and husband Ira; Tnni Probst;15 grandchildren, Bode Walker, Tammy Anderson, Fanci Hamilton, Zach Lovell, Samatha McCloskey, Tim Stecklein, Joshua Probst, Jacob Probst, Nicole Wilson, Kelsi Traxler, Jordan Probst, Summer Probst, William Probst, Hans Probst; 15 great grandchildren; two great great grandkids and many more step grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Trinidad Quichocho; grandson, Canaan Probst; her son, Eddie Probst and other family members.
