Veronica Meinders passed away on September 24, 2019 after a hard fought battle with colon cancer. Veronica was born on July 16, 1970 in Flint, Michigan to Gene and Darlene Stephen and moved to Tecumseh during the second grade. Veronica was very athletic and enjoyed competition ...from shooting hoops to watching OU football. Veronica graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1988 and went on to receive a Nursing degree and finally her doctorate from OU to become a Nurse Practitioner. Veronica served in the Army for 15 years and medically retired with the rank of Captain. Veronica served others in her career and personal life because she loved the Lord and found it rewarding. She is survived by her husband, Michael Meinders and two children, Shea Marsh and Macy Moody and two step children, Wes Meinders and Ben Meinders; her parents; one brother, Gene Stephen; sister, Monica Baden; and one grandson, Carson Marsh. A graveside service will be held in Tecumseh, OK on Monday, September 30th at 2:00 pm, with Cooper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in Veronica's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.

May the family and friends of “Ronnie” be comforted and strengthened by the knowledge that she is resting in the divine presence of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. For truly Ronnie victoriously “fought the good fight, finished the course, and kept the faith.” Her crown awaits.

You are now in paradise with the angels. You have taught all of us to live life to the fullest. Even though we didn't know each other well, I enjoyed the time we did spend together. Sending prayers to your family, Mike and his family.
