Theo (Pop)'s Story
Theo passed away September 5, 2017 after a short illness. His final days were spend surrounded by family and friends that loved him very much.
He and his twin Brock were the youngest of 9 children. He was born September 7, 1931 at the family homestead north of Mooreland, OK to Charles "Charlie" an Mable (Bailey) Starr. He attended the Hawkeye Country School.
Theo married Eva Janet McClellan on August 13, 1950. Theo and Janet had four children together: Ronald Dean, Bobby Lee, Debra Jo, and Carol Lorraine. They made their home in Mooreland before moving to Pratt, Kansas. They later moved to Pasco, Washington so Theo could manage the Atlantic Richfield Station.
Theo married Nancy Irvin in approximately 1964 and they made their home in the Tri-Cities area in Washington. Theo helped Nancy raise her three children: Todd, Ronnie, and Carol Ann. Theo worked for the County for about 32 years as a mechanic and truck driver.
Theo loved the country life. He enjoyed farming, camping, fishing and watching bull riding. He enjoyed watching the Seattle Seahawks on TV. He also enjoyed going to coffee and breakfast often with his friends and going to the auction on Tuesdays. Theo especially loved horses. He raised and trained many over the years.
After Nancy's death in 2012, Theo married Elizabeth Dumond on April 30, 2016 and they made their home in Pasco, WA.
Theo was preceded in death by his infant son Ronald Dean, step-daughter Carol Ann, wife Nancy and siblings: Leon, Warren, Marion "Buck", his twin brother Brock, Alese, Phyllis and both of his parents.
Theo is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth, his son Bob Starr and wife Brenda of Mooreland, OK, daughters Debbie Maples and husband Bill and Carol Harris and husband Gary of Woodward, OK. Sisters Millie Fussell and husband Virgil of Enid, OK and Eva Lee Philips and husband John of Talequah, OK. Elizabeth's children: Doreen, James and Charlie Pullicino of the Tri-Cities, WA and Nancy's children Todd Irvin of Wenatchee, WA and Ronnie Irvin and wife Michelle of Mexico, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
At Theo's request, no services will be held.
