Tami Jeen Taylor, 61 year old Wylie, Texas resident, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at the Methodist Richardson Hospital in Richardson, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Tamil Jeen Taylor was born on October 16, 1957 in Harrisonville, Missouri to Archie Ruben and Joan (Vloedman) Taylor. Since they were a military family, they lived in eight states and the Phillipines, Germany, Turkey, and Taiwan. Tami attended various schools, and graduated from Tabb High School in Tabb, Virginia. She later attended college for two in a half years.

She was the Supervisor of various departments in insurance companies and goverment personnel. Tamil loved gardening and photography. Her family was very important to her and she loved being with them, especially her surrogate children. She also loved taking trips, cooking, and spending time with her animals.

Tami was a member of the First Christian Church. She was also very involved with Wounded Warriors and Native American Organizations.

She is survived by her mother, Joan Vloedman Taylor; one brother, Todd Timothy Taylor; one sister, Leslie Dawn Taylor Burch and husband J Brian Burch; she was the Godmother to her nephew Taylor Chance Redwine; nieces and nephews: Alexandra Taylor Sulick, Dominic Taylor, Francesca Taylor, Blaise Taylor, Wyatt Taylor, and Evangeline Taylor; one great-niece, Noella Eden Sulick; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Ruben Taylor, one brother Richard Drew Taylor and her grandparents, Gwen and Andy Vloedman and Maud and Arch Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors or the Community Christian Church of Richardson, Texas with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
