Rose Marie Musgrove, 85 year old Woodward resident, died Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her home in Woodward. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 in the Longwood Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Rose Marie (Austin) Musgrove was born May 18, 1933 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to E.C. and Rebecca Gena (Branson) Austin. She grew up on a farm near Crescent, Oklahoma and attended a one room school house there. Rose Marie graduated from Guthrie High School. After her graduation, she worked at a Chevrolet Dealership and a clothing retail shop in downtown Oklahoma City.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth Earl (Fud) Musgrove on August 29, 1955 when they eloped to Tucumcari, New Mexico. They made their home in Kansas until 1979 when they moved to Woodward, Oklahoma. Rose was a stay at home wife and mother for many years. She worked at a meat packing plant in Preston, Kansas. When the family moved to Woodward, she worked at Olivers Shoe Store, Anthonys Shoe Department, and then Sharpes in the shoe department until her retirement. She sold shoes for over 30 years to Woodward and surrounding residents and loved all her customers.

Rose was baptized in the Methodist Church as a young girl. She loved to crochet, read and loved anything to do with kids, grandkids, or great-grandkids. She loved being with her family.

She is survived by two sons: Kenneth J. Musgrove and wife Susan of Woodward, John Lee Musgrove of Medicine Lodge, Kansas; three daughters: Tami Petty and husband Rob of Effingham, Illinois, Nancy Parker and husband Marvin of Altomont, Illinois, Gena Parker and husband Billy of Woodward; 15 grandchildren: Ryan Musgrove and wife Sheena, Bradley Parker and wife Nicole, Jeremy Parker, Robin Petty and significant other Karon, Amber Barrick and husband Caleb, Josh Musgrove, Kristy Hunter and husband Adam, Matthew Parker and wife Megan, Kimberly Schnoebelen and husband Kory, Melissa Musgrove, Jennifer Musgrove, Dana Petty, Heather Parker and significant other Shayne, Steven Parker and Halley Parker; 29 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bill Musgrove and wife Helen of Medicine Lodge, Kansas; sister-in-law, Janie Reavis and husband Kenny of Wamego, Kansas; many beloved nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and their spouses, Juanita Meise, Lucille Frymire, Janet Green, two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, and her husband Fud Musgrove.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodward Pregnancy Center with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
