Rita Gayle Aytes, 63 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, June 27 in Woodward. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Gene Karn officiating. Interment will be private family at a later date.

Rita Gayle (Loyd) Aytes was born on October 21, 1955 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Charles Nute French and Minnie Mae (Matthews) Loyd. She grew up in Pauls Valley, and Wynnewood. Rita attended school in Dover. She was united in marriage to Virgil Leroy Aytes, Sr., on May 15, 1980 in Lefores, Texas and they made their home in Woodward. Rita worked for Hanor Farms, Banc Central, and the Silver Spur Cafe.

Rita enjoyed her kids, grandkids, and family gatherings. She always looked froward to trips to the casino with her sisters and brothers. Some of her favorite memories were fishing, and camping trips with her family.

Rita is survived by her children, Russell Lloyd Aytes and wife Melissa; Danny Aytes and wife Michelle; Leroy Aytes; Lynn Aytes and wife Kayla; Sherry Gayle Goodwin; Barbara Rena Longstreth and husband Rick; brothers, Dewayne Brim; and Charles Loyd, Jr.; sisters, Charlene Pipins; Ellen Whittet; Linda Kay Ramsey; grandchildren, Shelly Dawn Pummel; Darian Longstreth; Sheradon Pummel; Aidan Walker; Alan Longstreth; Corban Longstreth; Kortnie Aytes; Korey Aytes; Leila Aytes; Justin Kanady; Brandy Munuz; Matthew Aytes; Gage Nailon; and Tasha Bergner; other family members and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, sisters, Wilda Nailon and husband Lenord; Glenda Boone and husband Cap; Donna Hobbs; brothers, Melvin Loyd; Sherman Loyd; sister-in-law, Betty Brown; bothers-in-law; Roger Pipins and Walter Ramsey.
