Ramona Joy Phillips Lile Dubois, daughter of Paul Ray and Eva May Phillips was born June 28, 1937 in Freedom Oklahoma. She passed into the loving arms of our Savior on Friday August 5, 2016.
Ramona was raised on the family farm near Mooreland, Ok. She attended school in Freezout in Woodward County until the fourth grade. She then attended Mooreland schools where she graduated from Mooreland High School in 1955. Following graduation she married Charles Ray Lile.
Ramona accepted Christ as her personal savior as a young girl and was baptized into the fellowship of the First Baptist Church Mooreland Oklahoma. She was an active and faithful member for many years. She worked in various areas of the church serving the children, youth and senior members of the church. She is lovingly remembered as the "camp cook" for the youth group at Falls Creek. She also served as church secretary for 11 years.
In addition, she was a member of the O.N.O Club - Nash, The Enid Art Association, and the Carroll County Historical Society in Berryville, Arkansas.
Ramona was a gifted artist and created beautiful oil paintings She enjoyed cooking and was famous among family and friends for her Mac and Cheese. Her hobby's also included genealogy. She was the unofficial family historian.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Loren Dubois,and Jake Martinez; her parents Paul and Eva Phillips and her brother Ray Dean Phillips.
She is survived by her daughter Debbie Swigart of Weatherford, Ok and her son Steve Lile of Edmond, Ok ; her sister and brother - in -law Irving and Verla Vaughan of Oklahoma City, OK and her brother and sister - in -law Bud and Barbara Phillips of Enid, OK; four step children Gene DuBois, Terri Hubbard, Mark DuBois and Therrol DuBois; and 18 grand children and numerous great grand children.
Ramona was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Services will be held Thursday August 11, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Mooreland.
