NiRae Christine Newman was born April 2, 1991 in Santa Ana, California but by the age of two was living in Oklahoma where she quickly proved that she was a true "Country Girl." She grew up in Oklahoma City and Hinton, graduating from Hinton High School in 2008. Throughout her short life here on earth she was often referred to as the "animal whisperer." She had a unique gift with all animals but especially with canines. She departed this life on May 27, 2016. NiRae is predeceased by aunt Tonya Christine Horn; uncle Billy Joe Newman; "MeMa" Leona Faye Newman; "GrannyPa" James P. McKeown; and maternal great grandfather Troy A. Johnson. She is survived by her 4-legged fur babies, Rebel and Jolly Roger; mother Teresa Horn and Robert "Bob" Wood of Mustang & Yukon; brother Joshua Newman and Tabi Williams & nephew Benjamin Newman of Yukon; maternal grandparents Terry and Barbara Horn of Mustang; maternal great grandmother Juanita Raasch of Yukon; paternal grandfather Jimmie Newman of Woodward; aunt Cindy Newman of Woodward; and friend & co-worker Cathy Jenkins of Chickasha as well as many other friends, family and extended family. Funeral services will be held at the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Yukon, Friday, June 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., followed by graveside at Red Hill Cemetery Mustang, Oklahoma.
