A Celebration of Life for Mick Ferguson will be held on June 16, 2018 at Kaw Lake. All family & friends are invited to attend.
Mickey Layne Ferguson, son of Vera Marie (Culver) and the late Harold Edwin Ferguson, was born June 14, 1952, at Alva, and passed away March 20, 2018, at the age of 65 years, 9 months, and 8 days.
Mick was a lifelong resident of Freedom. On January 20, 1979, he was united in marriage to Deborah Jo. They made their home in Freedom where he farmed for many years with his brothers. In 1993 he began a new career with Cargill Salt Company and retired after 22 years in 2015, but nothing gave him more enjoyment than spending time with his five grandsons and family at Kaw Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; mother, Vera Ferguson; father-in-law, Gerald Ferguson; four children, Stanley Irving and Amanda Ballard, Bradley Irving, Kara Hensley, and Devin Ferguson and his wife, Lindsey; five grandchildren, Kyler and Kaden Hensley; Austin, Alec, and Bratton Ferguson; two brothers, Rod Ferguson and his wife, Lois, and Hal Ferguson and his wife, Laura.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Freedom Fire and Ambulance.
