Marjorie's Story

Marjorie "Marj" Enterline, 99 year old former Mooreland resident, died Saturday, June 18, 2016 in Bel Aire, Kansas. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Mooreland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Marjorie Ann (Rine) Enterline was born on September 3, 1916 to Roy and Leota (Ditamore) Rine. She was born and raised in Nash, OK, where she attended school and graduated high school. After graduation she attended Enid Business College, training to be a secretary.

On September 16, 1939, Marjorie married Rex Enterline in Pond Creek, OK. They made their home in Wakita, OK until 1945, where they welcomed two children, Terry D and Pamela to their family. After Rex's military discharge they lived in Guymon, then Douglas, moving to Mooreland in 1949, where Marj eventually became Rex's secretary. Rex and Marjorie both retired in 1978 after serving the Mooreland School system for a number of years. Marjorie was a lifetime member of the National Association of Educational Office Professionals. After retiring, she worked part-time for a few years and volunteered as a Pink Lady for the Woodward Hospital.

Marjorie moved to the Catholic Care Center (Assisted Living) in Belaire, KS in 2005. During her 11 wonderful years there, she remained involved in various social groups as a volunteer and started a "Red Hat" group for the Center. Both the staff and other residents thought highly of Marjorie. She was known for always having her make-up on and her nails painted before stepping out of her apartment door.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Keyes and husband, Cliff, of Wichita, KS, her daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Enterline) Fussell, and husband, Ed, Mooreland, OK. One Grandson: Stacey Enterline and wife, Laura, Mansfield, TX. Granddaughters: Stasia Keyes, Kansas City; Abigail Husbands and husband, Harley, Austin, TX, Allison Keyes and s/o, Tommy, Wichita, KS; Shelley Ansley, and husband, Stan, Woodward, OK. Great Granddaughters, Lauryn Spray, and husband, Brett, Lauren Lawson and Lauri Enterline. Great Grandsons, Trey Enterline and Rhett Enterline, Jacob Clark and Caleb Smith. Great Great Grandson, Cayden Clark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex, her son, Terry, her parents, Roy and Leota Rine, and her brother, J.D.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Catholic Care Center in Belaire, KS.
