Darlene was born in Woodward, OK to George and Freda (Semmil) Hoffner. She graduated from Fargo High School and received her Bachelor's degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. She was a teacher in Blackwell Public Schools for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna Harris; brother; Bert Hoffner. Darlene is survived by her husband, Bill; daughters, Valerie Samuel and husband Billy Samuel of OKC and Alanda and Bryce Short of Dover, OK; grandchildren, Landon, Graysen, and Will Samuel, Madilynn, Nora, Isla, Jaxon, and Declan Short; sister, Diane Harper and husband Jack; sister-n-law Pam Hoffner and many other nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 8 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2018 family will receive guests from 5-7 PM at Buchanan Funeral Service. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be 10 AM , Wednesday, February 7, 2018 in the chapel of Buchanan Funeral Service with burial at 3:30 PM, at Gnadenfeldt Cemetery in Fargo, OK.
