Luetta's Story

Luetta S. Poulson, 84 year old Woodward resident, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Luetta Suzanna (Lochman) Poulson was born April 14, 1930 in Tangier, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Heinrich Lochman Jr and Marie Kathrina (Feil) Lochman. She attended Tangier schools, graduating from Tangier High School in 1948 as Valedictorian. She then attended Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. On September 13, 1952, Luetta was united in marriage to David “Lyle” Poulson in Raton, New Mexico. They made their home in Woodward. Luetta worked for the State Department of Health in Woodward for a number of years as a clerical secretary. Survivors include two daughters, Vickie McDaniel and husband Terry of San Antonio, Texas; Dana Poulson and close friend Judy Bowman of Woodward; three grandchildren, Joshua Lee McDaniel and wife Jamie of Oklahoma City; Jason McDaniel and wife Mandy of Yukon; Kristen Rosenbaum and husband Justin of San Antonio, Texas; one great grandchild, Isaiah McDaniel; one sister, Frances Benson of Fort Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lyle on August 17, 1997 and two brothers, Eugene Lochman and Oliver Lochman and wife Roma.
