Lonny C. Dietrich, 61 year old Woodward resident, died Friday, February 2, 2018 in the Alliance Health Hospital in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Goin officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Lonny Charles Dietrich was born March 9, 1956 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Lawrence B. and Lucille Ida Catherine (Gammelien) Dietrich. The family lived in various places in Minnesota and Wisconsin because of his dad's work. Lonny graduated from high school in Onalaska, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Joanne Ziel on March 16, 1974 and they were blessed with two children, Dean Duane and Jodi Lynn.
He worked as a Warehouse Supervisor in Wisconsin before moving his family to Woodward in 1982. Lonny went to work for Goin's Home Furnishings and continued working there for six years. He went into business for himself and continued working until his retirement in 2001 because of health issues.
Lonny loved his family especially his children and grandson Jack. He loved spending time with them.
He is survived by one son, Dean Dietrich of Woodward; one daughter, Jodi Keith and husband Ricky of Amarillo, Texas; one grandson, Jack Duane Keith of Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Larry Dietrich and wife Patty of Edina, Minnesota; one sister, Sharon Inocencio and husband Robert of Chandler, Arizona; four nieces: Tracey Braziel and husband Bobby of Robbinsdale, Minnesota, Tina Hageman and husband Eugene of Annandale, Minnesota, Chelsie Schumaker and husband Tim of Spencer, Indiana, Stacey Cunningham and husband Briggs of Tempe, Arizona; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lucy.
